Ivanka Trump, as the caption beneath the featured photo by the New York Times states is “working to enlist allies in a push for child care benefits”. So why are the other women not looking at her?
Answer: They’re Republican. Ivanka is doing the same thing we saw with the last administration, she’s pushing her child care plan, while the feathers are flying in the chicken coop in the new administration.
At the end of March, President Trump and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said the administration would focus on gaining congressional approval for a sweeping tax overhaul plan. While not solid on details they appeared to be optimistic for the economy and in keeping with some of his campaign promises.
What’s more concerning is the behind the scenes, and learned stealth behavior of Ivanka, like calling her dad collect at age 10 from the school’s janitor closet. Anyone with siblings understands the high probability of there being a favorite child.
It’s not a secret that Ivanka is making an attempt to push her Democratic child care agenda onto and into the the “sweeping tax overhaul plan”, and she’s not alone in this seemingly unwelcome attempt.
During the campaign, Ivanka introduced her own child care plan against the then rival Hillary Clinton. To make it more palpable for conservatives, it was only for birth mothers. Since taking office space in the White House that belongs to the citizens of the United States of America, it now includes mother, fathers, adoptive and biological.
Ivanka Trump’s involvement in tax negotiations between the White House and congressional Republicans is a signal of her influence with her father despite having no formal role in his administration. Dina Powell, the former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. executive who is an economic adviser to the president, is helping Trump to ensure a tax overhaul includes both the child care benefit and a requirement that employers provide paid maternity leave, policies that she pressed her father to embrace on the campaign trail last year.
Dina Powell an Egyptian-born, Dallas-raised, fluent Arabic speaker, Powell also has strong relationships with senior Democrats including outgoing Obama White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett and former Obama economic adviser Gene Sperling, among many others.
Remember the phrase, “Never let a good crisis go to waste”?

The most right wing media won’t expose the truth anymore for fear of some ostracization or some sort of reprisal.
